STOP IMPERIALISM! TAKE ACTION NOW!

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

ACTION NO. 1 - BOYCOTT

Boycott all Imperialist Corporations such as:

MacDonalds KFC Domino’s Starbucks Coffee Subway

Nike Esso BP Nestle Wallmart/Asda Sainsbury’s Tesco

Coca Cola Pepsico HSBC Siemens Shopping Centres

Virgin Microsoft (more to be added)

SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS INSTEAD

ACTION NO. 2 - JOIN A POLITICAL PARTY

Protests and demonstrations will only go so for. Without resorting to violence the only other means of causing effective change is to join a political party and to become active within its ranks. If sincere and conscientious people move into politics, rather than leaving it to the Oxbridge Elitists, it will have a significant effect. The only way that politics will serve the people, is if it is controlled by the people, for the people. Not all revolutions need to be loud and fast.

ACTION NO. 3 - MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD

Make your voice heard at all times. Don’t be afraid; what is there to fear? Anyone is welcome to join us here or to have their articles published here. On the other hand, create your own blog either here at wordpress or over at blogger; create a website; write to your local and national media outlets; leave comments on websites and forums; join activist groups and protest. In the very least convince your friends and family, or, to paraphrase Chomsky, help them to convince themselves. Whatever happens, never be silent, never rest and never lie down in the face of tyrants, no matter how powerful they appear to be.

  1. Company Boycotting,

I’ve always boycotted the mainsteam companies for as long as I can remember, an also more effective method would be finding out who owns the company, usually their owned by one financial group therefore it’s best to boycott all their services altogether.
    Also supports local business :)

  2. I’ve tried finding a political party! Problem is they all appear to have an agenda that doesn’t suit my own. Quite simply I want a party that has the respect to tell me the truth. Most parties act like people aren’t intelligent enough to comprehend the complexities of modern politics. The result of this is spin and propaganda, which infuriates me.

    Any suggestions?????

  3. Thanks Zapdude! I’ve added your idea to support local businesses to the list. Any idea where I can find an extensive list of ruthless corporations that we all should boycott?

I know what you mean, Draco. There aren’t too many options out there when considering which political party to join. The Respect coalition (http://www.respectcoalition.org/) is one option although they don’t have a full set of policies. On the other side of the spectrum there is a new party called Popular Alliance (http://www.popularalliance.org/) who have a full range of policies but are relatively small and slightly conservative.
Wikipedia has a full list of UK political parties; it would be a case of either joining a smaller party and trying to gain public support or infiltrating one of the big boys and attempting to mould the party’s future. Let us know how you get on.

    more for the list include
HSBC, Siemens, And all out of town shopping malls which are designed to draw your money from local traders with the offer of free parking. Virgin. Microsoft (however ironic this may seem, it’s about becoming aware though.)

  5. Thanks Elaine! I know, Microsoft’s the ultimate irony; we all hate them (it?) yet we spend most of our time using their products and engaged in their services. Then again, we don’t have much choice do we!?

    Cheers my friend, will do.
If you boycotted everything I reckon you’d starve and have to walk around naked! It’s probably more about awareness and choosing alternatives whenever possible.

  6. Of course you have a choice over Microsoft :-)

It’s called Linux or BSD and you can download whatever flavor suits you for free.
    See here.

    Btw, very interesting site. Bravo!

  7. :) Thanks zeroG!
I never thought of pointing out that peeps can convert to Linux for free! And Open Office instead of Micro$haft Office! Thanks for pointing that out. In fact, that’s a fantastic idea: an initiative to promote the benefits of open-source software over corporate dominated bloatware. :)

I tried ‘Redhat’ a few years ago and had no problems other than I could never get games running as I couldn’t get my head around emulating DX9. I’m going to look into it again though now.

Glad you like the site. Welcome to the Revolution my friend!

  8. DX9? Hm…I’m not much into games but I hear there is a very nice (and mature) project called for emulating a windows environment under linux.

And from a quick search I see there is support for DX9 too :-).

Glad to help out more if I can.

Did I mention that I like this blog’s stuff?

  9. Well, something went terribly wrong with the links and I can’t edit my previous comment so here they are again:
    wine
    DX9 support in wine

  10. Thanks zerog. That’s some good information! I need to wean myself off corporate technology. :)

  11. Pretty Interesting.
